WHAT TO DO

There are many more attractions on the island and our friendly staff can help guide you to where you want to go. We listed a few below to the more popular sites but Eleuthera is filled with things to do and many places to see.

Preacher's Cave

This large blue-shadowed cave was a temporary home to shipwrecked survivors (know as the Eleutheran Adventures)after fleeing religious persecution. Preacher’s Cave is thought to be the site of the first Christian service in the Bahamas. The cave seems like an amphitheater with holes in the roof to allow beams of light as if to shine on their service!

Glass Window Bridge, Gregory Town

Once a natural bridge on the island, it was destroyed after several hurricanes and is now a man made bridge. It's where one can view the Atlantic Ocean mix with the Caribbean Sea at the narrowest part of the island. A spectacular site to see!

Surfers Beach

The only beach on the island that boasts the best waves. It has even been compared to Hawaii's finest!

Hatchet Bay Cave

Once a favorite playing ground for pirates and has the appearance of a vaulted cathedral. Hatchet Bay Cave is filled with stalactites and stalagmites that gleam in the torch light for all you geological fans! The cave is approximately a mile long so bring your hiking shoes.
Ten Bay Beach, Savannah Sound

One of the most beautiful and secluded beaches on the island. Just you, the sand, the ocean, and of course, the sun! Also an excellent bone fishing spot.

Windermere Island

Why not honeymoon like Princess Diana? This island is linked by a bridge to Eleuthera and was host to Princess Diana and Prince Charles' honeymoon. This island was once often visited by the Royal Family and has one of the clearest waters on the island.

 Ocean Hole, Rock Sound

Rumored to be bottomless, this natural limestone wonder is filled with tropical fish and a few turtles who greet tourists. Don’t forget to take bread to feed the fish!!

Lighthouse Beach, Bannerman Town

Take a ride down south and visit this beach known for its old lighthouse located on a dramatic promontory overlooking the ocean. While sunbathing, you can watch the cruise ships come in to dock nearby.
